This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which ones Retesim uses, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember your preferences, and (where you allow it) help us understand how visitors use the site and show you relevant advertising.
2. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit retesim.com, a cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject all, or Customize which categories of non-essential cookies you allow. Necessary cookies are always active, since the site cannot function without them. Analytics and Marketing cookies and tags are only meant to load after you accept the relevant category. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings icon in the bottom-left corner of any page.
Google tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads) use Google Consent Mode: until you accept the relevant category they do not set or read analytics or advertising cookies. Microsoft Clarity and the Meta Pixel are only loaded after you accept the relevant category.
3. Necessary cookies
These are required for the site’s core features — like keeping items in your cart and completing checkout — and do not require consent.
woocommerce_items_in_cart — remembers that you have items in your shopping cart — Session.
woocommerce_cart_hash — keeps your cart contents in sync as you browse — Session.
rs_cookie_consent — remembers your cookie preferences, so we don’t ask again on every visit — 6 months.
theme-mode — remembers your light/dark display preference — Persistent.
4. Analytics cookies
These help us understand how visitors use the site and which channels bring visitors and orders to Retesim. They are only meant to be set if you accept the “Analytics” category.
sbjs_current, sbjs_first, sbjs_current_add, sbjs_first_add, sbjs_session, sbjs_udata, sbjs_migrations — WooCommerce Order Attribution (Sourcebuster) — records which channel or campaign referred a visitor, so it can be credited on an order. First-party, no data is shared with third parties — up to 6 months (session cookie kept for 30 minutes).
_ga, _ga_*, _gid — Google Analytics (GA4) — measures site usage and traffic sources — up to 13 months.
_clck, _clsk (and Microsoft’s CLID, MUID) — Microsoft Clarity — records how visitors use the site (clicks, scrolling, anonymised session recordings and heatmaps) so we can improve it. Text you type into forms is masked and never recorded, and we cannot see who you are — up to 1 year.
If you reject or have not yet accepted the Analytics category, these cookies are not set.
5. Marketing cookies
We use the following third-party advertising and remarketing tools, which are only meant to load if you accept the “Marketing” category: Google Ads (conversion tracking and remarketing) and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel (conversion tracking and audience building for Facebook/Instagram ads). These tools may set cookies such as _gcl_au, IDE, test_cookie (Google) and _fbp, _fbc (Meta), and may share limited order/browsing data with Google and Meta for advertising purposes, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
rtp_ref — Retesim partner program — remembers which partner (for example, a hotel) referred you through a partner link, so the partner can be credited for your order. First-party, not shared with any third party, and only set if you accept the “Marketing” category — 60 days. It is removed if you later withdraw Marketing consent.
If you reject or have not yet accepted the Marketing category, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no events are sent to Meta, including through Meta’s server-side Conversions API, and Google Ads does not set or read advertising cookies.
6. Managing your preferences
You can accept, reject, or change your cookie choices at any time by selecting the cookie settings icon shown in the bottom-left corner of the page. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, or opt out of personalized advertising directly via Google (adssettings.google.com) and Meta (facebook.com/adpreferences) — see your browser’s help pages for further instructions. Blocking all cookies may affect the shopping cart and checkout.
